Cookie Policy
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar local-storage technologies on this website, in line with Art. 45c of the Swiss Telecommunications Act (FMG / TCA) and, where applicable, the EU ePrivacy rules.
Last updated: 24 June 2026 · Version 1.0.0
1. What are cookies & local storage?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. “Local storage” is a similar technology that lets a website keep small amounts of data in your browser. Both can be strictly necessary, used to remember preferences, or used for analysis and marketing.
2. Why we use them
We use storage to make the website work (security, remembering your cookie choices, and keeping you signed in to the client portal). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party cross-site tracking.
3. Legal basis
Under Art. 45c FMG, processing data on your device is permitted if you are informed about it and about your right to refuse. Where the EU ePrivacy rules apply to you, we ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies — which is why this site shows a consent banner and provides granular controls.
4. Cookie categories
- Strictly necessary (always active) — Required for the website to work: security, load balancing, remembering your cookie choices and keeping you signed in to the client portal. These cannot be turned off.
- Preferences — Remember choices you make (such as interface or language preferences) to give you a more personal experience. Optional.
- Analytics — Help us understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it. We do not run any analytics today; this control applies in advance to any privacy-friendly analytics we may add later.
- Marketing — Used to measure and personalise marketing. We do not use any marketing or advertising cookies today; this control applies in advance to any we may add later.
5. Cookie registry
The complete list of first-party storage this site can set. We currently set no third-party or tracking cookies.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| baselink-consent | Baselink (first party) | Stores your cookie preferences, the policy version you agreed to, and a timestamp so we don't ask again. | Strictly necessary | 12 months | Local storage |
| baselink-portal-session | Baselink (first party) | Keeps you signed in to the client portal. Only set after you actively log in. | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out | Local storage |
| baselink-portal-tickets | Baselink (first party) | Stores the support tickets you create in the demo client portal, in your own browser. Only set when you use the portal. | Strictly necessary | Persistent until cleared | Local storage |
6. Third-party content
Web fonts are self-hosted and served from our own domain, so loading the site does not send a request to Google. Interactive 3D content is loaded from Spline (spline.design) and a small number of image assets are loaded from third-party image hosts; your browser connects to those providers only to download the visual content. These resources do not set advertising or tracking cookies.
7. How long cookies last
The duration of each item is listed in the registry above. Session items are removed when you close your browser; persistent items remain until they expire or you clear them.
8. Managing & withdrawing consent
You are always in control:
- Open Cookie Settings (also linked in the footer) to change or withdraw your consent per category at any time.
- Adjust or block cookies and storage in your browser settings.
- Clear your browser's site data to remove the items listed above.
- Use private/incognito mode to avoid persistent storage.
Blocking strictly necessary items may affect features such as staying signed in to the client portal.
9. Changes & contact
