Privacy Policy
Baselink takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we process, why, the legal bases, and the rights you have under the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP / revDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Baselink
Switzerland
Email: support@baselinksolutions.ch.
For any data-protection enquiry — including access, correction, or deletion requests — please contact us at support@baselinksolutions.ch.
2. Principles
We process personal data lawfully, in good faith and proportionately. We collect personal data for a specific purpose that is recognisable to you, and process it only in a way compatible with that purpose (purpose limitation and data minimisation). We keep data accurate, secure, and only for as long as necessary.
3. What data we process
3.1 Contact, lead & project requests
When you submit the contact or project form, we process the data you provide: your name, company, email address, industry, the message you write, and an optional indicated budget range. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry, qualify the request, and prepare a possible engagement.
3.2 Booking & demo requests
If you request a demo or booking, we process the contact details and scheduling information you submit for the purpose of arranging and holding that appointment.
3.3 Business inquiries & communications
When you correspond with us by email or through the forms, we process the content of those communications and related metadata to handle your request and maintain our business relationship.
3.4 Client portal
If you use the client portal, we process your account email and the content of the support tickets you create (subject, system, priority, description). This data is used to provide support and maintain your systems.
3.5 Technical data & server logs
When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device information, referrer URL, and the date and time of access. This data is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably, and to detect and prevent abuse. Server logs are generally kept for a short period and then deleted or anonymised.
3.6 Cookies & local storage
We use a small number of strictly necessary, first-party storage items. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking. Full details and controls are in our Cookie Policy, and you can change your choices any time via Cookie Settings.
3.7 Analytics
We currently run no web analytics. If we introduce privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain your consent beforehand through the consent banner.
4. Purposes & legal bases
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- Responding to enquiries and providing our services (contract performance / pre-contractual steps).
- Operating, securing and improving the website and our systems (legitimate / overriding interest).
- Providing client support through the portal (contract performance).
- Managing the business relationship, accounting and invoicing (contract / legal obligation).
- Complying with legal obligations under Swiss and, where applicable, EU law.
Under the nFADP, processing of personal data by a private person does not generally require a specific justification unless the processing is unlawful (e.g. it breaches the principles above, or a data subject has objected). Where the GDPR applies, we rely on Art. 6(1)(b), (c) and (f) GDPR as set out above, or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where requested.
5. CRM & business operations
Enquiries and client information may be recorded in our customer-relationship and business tools to manage the relationship, follow up on requests, and deliver our services. Access is limited to staff who need it, under role-based access controls.
6. Disclosure & processors (subprocessors)
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with carefully selected processors who act on our behalf under a data-processing contract, in particular:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers.
- Email and communication providers.
- Software, CRM and operational tools used to run the service.
The interactive 3D content on this website is delivered through Spline (spline.design); your browser connects to that provider to download the scene and related assets. No advertising or tracking cookies are set in the process. A current list of subprocessors is available on request — see our Data Processing page.
7. International data transfers
Personal data is processed primarily in Switzerland and the EU/EEA. Where data is transferred to a country without an adequate level of data protection recognised by the Swiss Federal Council, we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with the Swiss addendum, or rely on a statutory exception.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by statutory retention obligations (for example, accounting records are generally retained for ten years under Swiss law). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
9. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hardened HTTP security headers, access controls and least-privilege principles. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be fully secure.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Request information about whether and which personal data we process about you (access).
- Have inaccurate data corrected (rectification / correction).
- Request deletion of your data (erasure / deletion).
- Restrict or object to certain processing (objection).
- Request your data in a portable format, where applicable (data portability).
- Withdraw consent at any time, with effect for the future.
To exercise these rights, contact support@baselinksolutions.ch. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will reply within the period required by law.
11. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe our processing of your data infringes data-protection law, you may contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC / EDÖB), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland — www.edoeb.admin.ch. If the GDPR applies to you, you may also contact your local supervisory authority.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version published on this page, with the date and version number shown above, is the one currently in force.
